I know it’s summer, but these colors will be perfect come fall. I swear it to you.

When E.L.F. Cosmetics had their 50% Studio Line deal, I jumped at it. Mostly because their brushes are divine, but also because I was curious about the new additions to the roster. As expected, all the brushes you are seeing, are perfect. My favorite would be the Studio Line Powder Brush for it’s softness & density.
The lip products were all great too. Both lipglosses (lighter: Sweet Salmon; darker:Berry Blush) are true to the image, and they are also full in color. They are moisturizing as opposed to sticky. They smell great and leave a sweet after taste. Unfortunately, the lipstick in Captivating was broken. It’s a great coral color and is sheer feeling, but can be layered for more color.
The concealer palette from the Studio Line (in medium) is wonderful for my skin. I like that you can customize the color just for your skin tone. The blush, Candid Coral, is a classic coral color with gold tones. I think the gold undertone is too strong and can highlight imperfections if used as a blush. As a highlight over a matte coral blush, it’d be great.
The Studio Radiance Enhancing Pen (in Golden) also falls into the same category. Use sparingly, only to highlight. This is good for night-out photo ops. The Tinted Mineral Booster works well as a setting powder. The tint doesn’t change skin color, and is probably best for already tanned folks.
The Studio Eyebrow Kit in Dark just wasn’t for people like me. It’s not dark enough for black hair, in my opinion. The setting powder is too light. The wax is great for darkening in light, sparse eyebrows, but not really that great for filling in spots were your eyebrows may have actual gaps, like mine. My eyebrows are just really rowdy and needs some extra strength taming. The eyeshadow is their classic eyeshadow, in Ivy. The colors are nice and gentle. Working them into some looks won’t be hard. I got it for free too :)
I love the way her cheeks stand out. It add youth and innocence to her face. Don’t over-do any blush though. It has to be the right color for you and the rest of the face has to be soft.
The drag queen in me will always appreciate glitter. Always.

Matte Bubblegum Pink!
I love the way this looks. It’s as attention getting as a good red lipstick, but also has an element of fun, girlishness that you can’t get with a red tone.

One color all over the lid?
In theory, it sounds easy and also seems like it’d make your lids look like a child took a crayon to your face. In reality it is easy, and if done correctly, it can look quite fun. I’m going to try this soon.

Ooooooh.
I used to always think that red lipstick had to e worn with winged eyeliner or bare, neutral eyes. This photo proves why I was so wrong. I want to try this one day. It makes her look extremely smoldering. If she were a spy for Russia, I’d believe it, just because of her make-up.

I did a video on this look for Spring.
It’s one of my favorites so far. It’s really light and feminine. I’ve seen a lot of people try to use purple in a way that’s either too strong or barely visible for a day look. This hits the balance just right, I think.
Thick, sexy, black winged eyeliner.
It makes me think of Sophia Loren and Brigette Bardot. The wide-eyed sex-kittens of the 60’s. And when you’re low on time and can’t do a full face, some bold eyeliner can polish it all up. I’ve always loved eyeliner, I guess since I heard that saying, “the eyes are the window to the soul.” Why not play with it?
